Ship Trip & Tun Fun

It really never stops for us, does it? :) We got back from Disney on Saturday, May 30th, and then early Tuesday morning, June 2nd, Greg left for 4 days in London for work. As always, he was able to carve out a little play time...he saw the show "Stomp" and got to tour the HMS Belfast (more on that below). Thought it was pretty cool that on the train ride to the office, he passed by the construction of the track and field stadium (to be used for Opening and Closing Ceremonies) for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

On Friday morning before his flight, Greg toured the HMS Belfast ship. With having just visited D-Day sights in France, Greg thought it would be a particularly interesting tour because this ship was part of the fleet used on D-Day to support the assaults on Gold and Juno beaches. In fact, it was one of the first ships to fire on German positions at 5:30 a.m. that morning. Now, the ship is docked in the Thames river and has been a museum since 1971. Check out how big that missile is...yikes!!

Greg arrived home late Friday afternoon - with flowers for me, awwwww! We were glad to have him home, and just in time for the party! Saturday morning was Ben's friend Tyler's 4th birthday party at TunFun. Ben and I have been to this great indoor play park before, but Greg was in for a treat. We played in the balls, jumped on the trampoline, and carried plastic piggie with us everywhere - even down the slide. All of Ben's good friends (and ours) were there, so it was a fantastic morning! PS - Tyler is the "tiger", yep - there was even face-painting! :)

The excitement for us continues...as Grandma Zabikow arrives on Tuesday! Can't wait!!
